Network Marketing - Is it for you?
How many times have you heard someone say “I’ve got the perfect thing you can do!” “Man, I was introduced to this business opportunity that is just going to knock your socks off!” “I just signed up with the best company ever and I want to let you know about so you can sign up right away and start making money just by working a few hours a day” Did any of those comments ever make you look at the business opportunity right away? Probably not… WHY not? Probably because you were afraid you were going to get another sales pitch, right? After all, there are so many home based network marketing businesses out there, and more popping up each day.
Many companies really do appeal just to emotions. There are many out there that will just jump on the next train that will take them to “overnight success” How many actually stay on that train though? Very few, if you think about it; very few have lasting success because they don’t have what it takes to run a business. They are just looking for an easy way to make money. However, to make a network marketing business truly work you can’t just appeal to people’s emotions. Instead of asking one of those questions I mentioned, a network marketer must take the time to actually talk to you to see if their company offers anything that you even want. Not something they think would be extremely good for you, but rather something that will help you meet a need in your personal or family life. Only if they see that your particular business CAN benefit you in some way (after listening intently and asking questions) then they should proceed to talking to them about something that will meet that particular need. You see, network marketing has many “benefits”, but some of these benefits may not even be something you are even looking for, right?
So, is network marketing for you? Is a particular business the best thing for you? The answer is completely subjective… Only you can answer that question. If you think there may be potential in some type of business, or in networking itself, take the time to see how YOU would benefit from having a network marketing home-based business. How do you see it changing your life? Are you willing to do work at it like you would work any newly founded business? How is the particular business you are signing up with going to change your life? Only you have the answer.
